Dear District 5230 Rotarian Family,

As we begin this new Rotary year, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for the work you’ve done, the lives you’ve touched, and the spirit of service you embody. It is truly an honor to serve alongside each of you as your District Governor.  I would like to first thank and appreciate Governor Michael Rabara for his commitment to all of us in District 5230.  Under his magic leadership, our district reached new heights in service and giving, and I know that we can continue our successes as we move forward. 

This year, I invite us all to embrace the powerful theme: Unite for Good.  Rotary is more than meetings and projects—it is a movement of people of action who believe that when we come together with purpose, compassion, and determination, we can transform our communities and our world.

Let us begin this year by strengthening the bonds within our clubs and across our district. When we collaborate—across professions, cultures, generations, and borders—we unlock new potential. Rotary is at its best when we listen, lift one another, and lead with kindness.

There are so many in our communities who share our values but haven’t yet discovered Rotary. Let’s be bold in our outreach. Let’s share our stories. Every new member is a new voice, a new heart, and a new hand ready to serve. Together, we can grow stronger and more inclusive, reflecting the rich diversity of the communities we serve.

Let this be a year where we elevate our service. Whether we’re feeding families, supporting education, mentoring youth, or working toward a healthier planet—let’s aim for sustainability, visibility, and meaningful results.  Ask yourself, “Whose life will be better because our club exists?”   Then go out and make it so.

It doesn’t matter whether our impact is global or local. What matters is that it is real. That it matters. That it lasts. As Rotarians, we have the unique privilege—and responsibility—to leave our communities better than we found them. And we don’t have to do it alone. We do it together. 

This year is filled with possibilities. Let’s dream big, serve well, and support one another. Let’s stay focused on what unites us: our shared commitment to doing good in the world.
